"The Princess Adelina"
Well, I just read this book today and it was very good! So I thought we could do a bit of a book discussion on here. :-) Now, I know you guys probably haven't read this, so I figured y'all can give your thoughts on whatever us ladies decide to say about it. :-) So first I'm just gonna tell y'all what I liked best about it.
The whole book is great! But let me explain what I liked best. In the beginning when Adelina first met Gisilhar, they were both attracted to one another. And it gives you the idea that Adelina was often thinking about this free lord and she had dreams of marriage just like any other girl would. But she doesn't end up married to him, and you notice that those thoughts and dreams about Gisilhar in the past caused some trouble in her marriage later. For me, it kind of reminded me once again just how important it is to keep your emotions in check and watch our thoughts about guys/girls. In the book, Hedan (Adelina's husband) was very jealous of what he saw, or thought he saw between Adelina and Gisilhar. And It's not very much farther in the story before Adelina realizes that Gisilhar is not who she thought he was. I guess even the best of us can be blinded by emotions, but just think of how much smoother our marriages would be if we didn't have to deal with all kinds of emotional baggage from our past.
All in all, it was a great book and I loved it! Please comment with any thoughts or questions. If y'all enjoy doing this book discussion, I'll start doing them more often with some other great books on relationships. :-)

So glad you enjoyed it!! We have many other books like this one I'm sure you'd like. The thing that really got me was when everyone thought her husband was dead, and Gisilhar came in to protect her, and she shunned him still, remaining faithful to her husband even though she thought him dead, more importantly, faithful to her God as she said she didn't need any person's protection, God was all she needed, Amen!! What insight she had in the book, I believe it's a true account of an ancient occurence. Eric Pearson
Hello Katie!
Actually, I started to read this, but just got really busy, so haven't been able to finish. I really want to, though.
By the way, thank you so much for copying/pasting the lock and heart key from my blog to here. :)
Blessings,
~Miss Raquel

Wow, it sounds really good! Please do post more about other books! Oh by the way, may I recommend to you the book Set Apart Femininity by Leslie Ludy? It is a MUST READ for every teen girl and I like how though it does talk about guy/girl relationships, more importantly it talks about building intimacy with our TRUE Prince - Jesus Christ. You'd really like it! It helped me so much in my Christian life!
Bro. Pearson: Thanks so much for borrowing it to me. That was a very amazing thing, to have such faith in God that she didn't need anyone else to protect her!
Raquel: It is a great! You should definitely finish it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
Jenna: I'd say its a great book to read not just once, but a few times over. :-)
Sharon: Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants to do his again. ;-) I will definitely look into that book. I am planning on getting a bunch of book for my b-day next week so I will add that to the list. :-)
Great book and great post!

Thanks Michaila, I'm glad you enjoyed the post! And I thought the book was great too!
Very interesting! Sounds like something I should buy and read! :) I am reading a book right now which my friend gave me called, "Emotional Purity" and there is a similar story in there. A girl who was very attracted to this young man, and likewise, they did everything together, however towards the end of the story, she had given him her heart, and he appeared to her one afternoon with his 'new girlfriend'. This girl was shocked and hurt, because she gave her emotions away! So important, and yet often hard to not think of that special person...I wrote a post similar to this two days ago, how to stay emotionally pure and not give your heart away. Thanks for the reminder-again, we need to encourage each other at all times!
Hello! My whole family is reading through the book right now (brothers included)! We are really enjoying it and we like the story. Thanks for posting about it!
